Native animals RULE! You might know that we work with specialists to monitor lots of native species in the local Prescot area, like bats, red squirrels and moths. Were hoping that our research and work will help to increase the population numbers of these amazing animals! We started the year with the National Bat Monitoring programme. This important programme has let us discover some rare and very exciting bat species that live right on the Knowsley Estate! Weve been able to track them using specialist equipment and bat recording devices. Fascinating or what?! Now we want to hear about the native species found living in your area, so make sure to send us photos of your local bat, moth and squirrel residents!
