~Natural Tip Tuesdays ~ Our first Natural Tip is Neem Oil~~Neem oil is a vegetable oil cold pressed from the fruits and seeds of the Neem tree. It varies in color which can be yellow, yellowish brown, reddish brown, dark brown, greenish brown, or bright red. Pure Neem oil is known to be very effective as an antiseptic, anti-fungal, antibacterial, antiviral agent. It is said to have been used for hundreds of years in Indian medicine to assist in healing various skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, rashes, burns and acne. Neem is also known to be a natural insect repellent. Although this oil is said to have great benefits, be warned the scent is not very appealing....this oil has a very strong odor that is often described as a blend of nuts and garlic. Neem oil has been included in a number of beauty & hygiene products such as soaps, shampoos & toothpaste...:-)
