Nature Awareness 4/1/2014 - Coyote The coyote, also known as the American jackal or prairie wolf, is a species of canine found throughout North and Central America. There are currently 19 recognized subspecies of coyote, and unlike the wolf the coyotes range has expanded in the wake of human civilization. Coyotes happen to readily reproduce in metropolitan areas. Coyotes have not only survived but thrived where other animals have not been able. When the coyote makes an appearance in your life, whether in a dream, meditation, or in an actual sighting... be prepared. The same cunning that allows them to thrive in so many environments in nature translates into an energy that is very unique an interesting in the metaphysical realms.
