Nature or nurture? It is a subject worthy of debate, and the details are important. Ultimately though, everything is genetic. Why? And what are the implications? Firstly, a person is not responsible for the genetics they received from their parents. Secondly, the world that person is born into is constructed and populated by people who did not choose their genetics. We are all the product of our genetics, and events that were set in motion by others genetics (of which they were not responsible for) before we were born. Ultimately, none of us are responsible for any capacity we have, good or bad. Ergo, to judge another for their situation in life, positive or negative, is an error. We only become responsible in light of new information, weighed up against our capacity, physical or mental, to act on it. All we can hope to do is educate ourselves in the hope that we will improve our situation here on earth. Oh, and free will doesnt exist.
