Nature’s Bounty St. John’s Wort, Double Strength, 300mg, 100 Capsules (Pack of 2) (Health and Beauty) I’ll begin by saying I took GNC’s brand of St. John’s Wort – 300 mg Standardized. So I selected the brand I prefer on amazon with the same dosage and decided to review that, just to exploit the sheer benefits of this great herb. St. John’s Wort has brought me back to normal. Period. I’ve been depressed for close to a year (I’m a 20 year old, healthy male), due to changes with school and major life changes, leaving me in a slump. I became very short tempered, irritable, annoyed, jealous, over thinking, stressed, had major anxiety, and it was destroying my life. I had no patience to have conversation with anyone, and would only see a select group of people. I couldn’t even hold conversation because the anxiety was causing me to over think and over analyze every word, thought and action in my life. My grades, relationship with my girlfriend and family, and job were taking a toll. Depression and anxiety were destroying my life, and although I may paint these things as completely devastating to my life, I was able to manage and get by. I went to a psychiatrist to see their “professional” opinion, and they quickly wrote me a script for Wellbutrin. Desperate, I filled the script and took one. Never again will I take a god damn drug in my life. Although I felt better and a little more optimistic, I had dry mouth, no appetite, and it actually increased my anxiety a bit, as it is a stimulant. Not to mention increase the likelihood of withdrawal symptoms, and long term problems after discontinuation. Fast forward six months later, I begin taking another supplement for the gym and I notice improved quality of life in my days following taking the product. I examined the label, and among the 6 main ingredients, St. John’s Wort was clearly responsible for the effect. I quickly did some research on the supplement, and went to the nearest GNC. Since then, my life is… BACK TO NORMAL. Completely and 100% alleviated of all depression and anxiety symptoms this is not something that will make you completely blissful and happy and jubilant, like you’re drugged up, but just brings you back to a healthy equilibrium to enjoy your life and the day to day encounters. My girlfriend has already commented at my improved mood and our improved relationship since, I am back working with a smile on my face, and although I’m done with school for the semester, I’ve begun working with a friend on a new app idea. This product is something I will be taking for as long as I see fit because, why not, it’s an herb.
