Selected by a jury each year, respected artisans will offer contemporary works in wood, clay, glass, metal and fiber for sale - the newest in hand crafts and exciting visual art. Whether you are looking for a hand-woven scarf, a leather belt, exquisite jewelry (fine and fashion), a stained glass panel, metal yard sculpture, turned wooden bowl or a unique children’s outfit, you will find them all and more at the Collingswood Festival! Ceramics for home or garden, original watercolors, oils, collage or fine photographs, heirloom toys or whimsical prints and gifts that you have never seen before can be found beneath the billowing white tents that stretch along Haddon Avenue in Collingswood’s historic downtown. Café dining, a Collingswood highlight, makes the show festive. With cuisine choices available at more than a dozen fine restaurants, festival-goers can choose Italian specialties, sumptuous seafood, Asian-fusion delicacies, south of the border delights, gourmet sandwiches and even the all-American hot dog for lunch, dinner or dining al fresco. Be sure to leave room for dessert and a taste of glazed almonds, a funnel cake, ice cream, or shaved Hawaiian ice! There will even be nostalgic soda dispensed in “tin cups” from a chuck wagon! Smooth jazz and specialty music perfect for summer strolling, will delight guests throughout the downtown. Family art activities include ceramic tile painting, sand art, face painting, beading, quilting and crafts for children. A silent auction of items donated by the Festival artists will benefit the Central and South Jersey Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and offer amazing art buying opportunities as well.
