Nazi symbolism is often so badly misunderstood by the young, more so in todays world where few still hold memories of those dark days. Here, I must admit I am equally guilty. For as a young man, I once visited a war museum that housed Hitlers staff car. Posing for a photograph, I did a Nazi salute while standing by the headlights. As I was walking out, the usher at the door gave me the coldest stare I had ever seen. He was very probably a veteran. Did not quite understand it then, but I know why now.
