Ndi Igbo: What do you really want? Lately, the air waves, social and print media have been agog with what I consider two very cheering news to emanate from the political scene. Im sure not a few people already have an inclination of what Im talking about. First was the news that one of the best and performing governors in Nigeria today, rendered an account of his stewardship in the past 8yrs of piloting the affairs of Anambra state government. Mr Peter Obi in his usual simplistic nature, dazzled the audience with a very transparent account of his policy trusts and earnings as well as the spendings of the state within the period under review. One outstanding aspect of his accounts is that virtually all he said is verifiable by all and sundry and are having direct positive impacts on the lives of Anambrarians and others who use the amenities on daily basis. Another outstanding aspect is that he came, saw, and conquered all he could which is a lot to say the least and finally he is bequeathing a very healthy and wealthy state to his successor with assets and savings in excess of #75billions. It should be noted that government at all levels is a continuum and no single regime will solve all the problems bedevilling a society. Bearing this in mind, it is then heartwarming that a governor is selfless enough to think about the smooth running of his successors administration by factoring him into his permutation viz-a-viz bequeathing him such amount of resources for smooth take off and sustenance of good governance without any form of encumbrances.....
