Nearest Earthly Place To Paradise, The Literary Landscape of Shropshire, published by Merlin Unwin Books 2013, edited by Margaret Wilson was launched at receptions held in Ludlow and Much Wenlock last week. This beautiful book is full of Shropshire landscape photographs by Geoff Taylor. These complement an anthology of extracts from some of the UK’s most accomplished writers from Mary Webb, Paul Evans, Charles Dickens, Wilfred Owen, DH Lawrence, John Milton, Henry James, Ellis Peters, John Betjeman and many more.
