Nearly 2000 years ago a radical itinerant preacher said that He would one day be falsely accused, convicted and sent to death row for crimes he did not commit. But that he would rise from the grave, ascend to heaven and then return one day. He instructed those who would follow him that while they would not know what day he would return, there would be signs of his return and the day of judgement. Of the many things he said would happen just prior to his return was that there would be a major increase in violence and that the love of many would grow cold. Jesus said those days would be just like the days of Noah that led to a judgement by flood. Watching and listening to todays horrific reports of violence make me realize that his return gets closer as each day goes by. I am ready. (Reading the red letters -words- of Jesus in Matthew 24)
