Nearly three weeks ago now, a family, exhausted after days of fighting for their childs life came to the point where their little one was lost. Instead of saying their goodbyes and going home, they allowed the hospital to keep their childs body going for days in order to find and orchestrate with various other hospitals to place the organs of their beautiful baby boy or girl in the loving arms of other families in need. On the verge of the worst situation imaginable, they chose to celebrate the too short life of their little one by sharing it with complete strangers. Thank you to that sweet family. We will almost surely never meet, but as I am rocking my son to sleep tonight, Im holding your child too, and I will never take that fact for granted.
