Nearly two years ago I was invited by director Zhao Jiachun to live and work at the Guanlan International Printmaking Base, Shenzhen, China, just outside Hong Kong. So, on Thursday morning 6 March before the crack of dawn, I am finally off to China to work on three brand new linocuts for three weeks. Diane Victor was the overall winner of the 4th Guanlan Print Biennial in Shenzhen last year after she lived and worked at the Base for several weeks!
