Nebo Nugget @ Noonday “Looking for the Right Thing at the Wrong Time” Good afternoon. I hope you’re having a wonderful Wednesday. In Exodus 16, God sent bread-like manna from Heaven down to the Jews as they journeyed through the wilderness on their way to the Promised Land. This manna was sent each and every day except for the Sabbath Day which was the seventh day. On the sixth day they were to gather twice as much manna, prepare it and save half of it for the next day. Consider verses 25-30 (NIV): 25 “Eat it today,” Moses said, “because today is a Sabbath to the Lord. You will not find any of it (manna) on the ground today. 26 Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any.” 27 Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none. 28 Then the Lord said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to keep my commands and instructions? 29 Bear in mind that the Lord has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day He gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where he is on the seventh day; no one is to go out.” 30 So the people rested on the seventh day. Indeed, there was nothing wrong with going out to gather manna as long as it was done on the right day. The Sabbath Day was the WRONG day. It was a day preserved for worship. When the Israelites went out looking for manna on the wrong day, they returned home empty handed. Beloved, if the blessing you greatly desire has yet to come through, maybe it’s still coming through according to God’s timing. Whatever or whoever we get at the wrong time didn’t come from God. Don’t get caught up in “Looking for the Right Thing at the Wrong Time.” It’s best to wait on God’s time! And He will show you when it’s His time! God gave the Israelites everything they needed to make it through the Sabbath Day to the next day. Likewise, God has given you everything you need to make it till your Breakthrough Day!
