Nedas Great News! Because of the communitys generous support to Neda’s Help Me Heal fund, we raised the amount needed to repair Neda’s broken jaw. The procedure allowed Neda’s jaw to finally heal correctly and for her to no longer feel pain while she eats or meows. The UW Veterinary Care Oral Surgery and Dentistry Service specialists did a great job and we are especially appreciative of their support and expertise. Neda rested and recovered for a couple of weeks with the same foster family that helped her while her jaw was being stabilized. During her recovery, she made herself at home and was quickly back to her rambunctious and energetic ways. Neda’s foster mom Beth, her husband and their furry family continued to bond with Neda. They decided to make Neda a permanent part of their family and officially adopted her this past Monday! Thank YOU for helping this sweet cat receive the specialized care needed. We couldn’t go the extra mile without you and we are so grateful for your commitment to helping animals. NPR radio host Neda Ulaby even heard about Neda’s special story and personally donated toward her care! Any remaining funds raised above those needed for Neda’s surgery and follow-up care will be used to continue the work DCHS’s Animal Medical Services does every day.
