Need a second opinion. I recently bought 2 unfinished pine bookshelves to put in the corner of my living room. I already have 2 large stained maple pieces in the same space my entertainment center and grandfathers desk) I also will be getting a dark wooden dining table and possibly an island. As such Im not sure I want to stain them to match as Id like some contrast. So should I paint them or stain them a lighter color? Below is a picture of the entertainment center and 2 finish options for the book cases. The first is the stain on the inside that Im considering not the red paint. Thoughts? I need some input!!!!!!
