Need advice to curb guarding behavior. A friend that adopted a healer mix from shelter, pmd me I am having a huge problem with Sugar. She is getting way out of hand with her protection over me, Hubby cant even kiss me when she is around, she nips at him & even hangs off the back of his shirt when he just walks by me. She is also teaching my others bad habits. Outside, if I am NOT right there with her, she is starting to take off & Tino is following her, Tino has NEVER left my yard, EVER!!! I spent over 3 hours driving around looking for them the past 2 mornings. I just cant bare the thought of having to put her in a pen most all day. This is starting to drive me crazy, especially when I cant find them in the mornings. I live in the country so I dont have to keep my babies tied or penned up but I cant even let her in the house any more when hubby is home due to her biting him, he cant even sit by me to watch a movie! Please give me some advice on this. I do love her so much but ...... This is starting to get really stressful, and I have so much other things to worry about out here.
