Need clarification of the historic context: Recently, Bharat Ratna Netaji ke deowa hobe ki na, uchit ki na, ei niye FB te ekta passionate debate lege gyachhe. Outside of Bengal, 23rd Jan is not celebrated as widely as it is in WB. But one thing I grew knowing for sure was that Bengalis are UNITED and UNANIMOUS in their respect and love for Netaji, as much are Maharashtrians for Shivaji.............until, sometime in 2005 or 2006, I saw on Orkut, somebody in a Kolkata based community, calling him Tojor kutta and stirring an epic controversy on 23rd January. The unthinkable had happened. Netajis sanctity has been challenged, and whereas one would not find such a thing happen even outside of WB, this had happened right in his home turf. I was obviously shocked and rattled. Since then, routinely, I see some people doing the same thing, from fakes, obviously. I have often wondered, what is the reason for this ? Who is/was Tojo? And why would anyone want to call Netaji his dog ? Which section of Bengalis would have such a grudge against Netaji, and why ? So little is available on this subject that a proper research is impossible, so I am throwing this question to this group. Please answer, which Bengalis have a gripe against such a popular leader and why ? which party are these people likely to belong ? Congress ? Naxals ? Communists ? Lets get the facts once and for all.
