Need for Speed in 3D! Have you ever walked into a movie theatre - TopicsExpress

Need for Speed in 3D! Have you ever walked into a movie theatre and thought to yourself; I am paying for this; I hope it is good. I am not too sure about this one. But as I was advised Sit down. Enjoy yourself and have an open mind. You might actually like it. Thanks for the tip; Regal Buddy Maria Haynes! So I did. And after walking out I realized that the $0.00 I had shelled out for two tickets was in fact a fair asking price. The movie is base upon the popular Electronic Arts EA video game; Need for Speed. I have played the iPhone app Need for Speed Shift and have always had fun. I never win. Usually finish 6th. Probably because I drive like an old man. In the far right lane; doing 5mph under the speed limit; with my left directional on. But I found the plot weak and the cast weaker. The movie stars Mt. Kisko, NY home town hero Tobey Marshall played by Aaron Paul whos only claim to fame seems to be the TV series Breaking Bad. Since I only watch Fox TV on Sunday nights and the rest of the week watch only Comedy Central; I had no idea who this guy was. Only that he cries. Two times, two times in the movie you can see a tear dripping down his cheek! Do you think Dale Earnhardt Jr. cried when his car ran out of gas this year in Las Vegas on the final lap? No F_ing way! Real race drivers dont do that. Remember that next time Mr. Aaron Breaking Bad Paul. His love interest is Imogen Poots and the bad guy is played by Dominic Cooper. Might I reconfirm this is a cast that really asks the question Who? The only actor which I was the 62 year old former Batman; Michael Keaton as the man responsible for the The Race The De Leon. I just wish I could have had the same excitement about The De Leon as Keaton exhibited. I never got there. You race; the cops get pissed; they smash you and winner takes all. Maybe I was taking a Boys Room break at the time so I missed that part of the plot but I never figured out what all that winner takes all was. Watching the movie; it did look like a video game from the changes of line of sight. Sometimes out the windshield, other times from above and other head on. But enough is enough already. I normally get bored after playing a video game for 30 minutes. This darn movie was 2 hours long! So Electronic Arts let me make a suggestion. If you want to turn a video game into a movie, next time try The Sims. Little CGI people who speak jibberish, catch on fire and make woo-hoo in bed with each other all the time might be interesting. Leave the car racing films to Vin Diesel and the Fast and Furious crowd. See it? Nope. Own it? Nope. Rent it? If you gotta.
