Need some help. We have a 3-4 Month old german Shepherd. Weve had him for 2 weeks as of today. The day we brought him home he was the sweetest thing ever. After that point hes been a complete dick, and Ill elaborate. We are trying to housebreak him currently. We take him outside every 1-2 hours, yet when we get him out there he ALWAYS urinates and immediately lays down or starts tugging to go back inside. Once inside he walks around for a few minutes then craps. Without fail EVERY SINGLE TIME. Thats my first issue. My second issue is that he is rough with my children. He wont try to bite me when he gets rubbed, but the second my children get near him he proceeds to try to bite their legs, hands etc. Ive tried the No Bite command and have been staying firm on it like I should be (Closing his mouth, saying no bite and releasing) Thirdly he is REALLY bad about eating. He wont eat his dog food but the second we have food hes climbing all over us. I correct him as we should but its to no avail. He man handles my children until they drop something and then scarfs it up like he hasnt been offered any food for the past month. My fourth problem stems from the third one. When training him to sit, rewarding him for good behavior or entering his kennel on command we give him a treat. The first week he was alright with taking the treats. However this past week hes gotten to the point where he almost always bites the person giving him a treat. Its gotten to the point now where we cant hand him a treat, we literally have to drop it. Tara the other night had skin broken and bleed for a good while because he bit her. Im aware of how to raise a dog, Im aware of the proper way to handle these situations, however this little shit is the most stubborn dog I have ever seen. Any corrections made to the bad behavior above only seem to make the situation worse. Anyone that has had a Large breed (Hard biting) dog and has experience with this crap can you give me any of the ways you have handled this so I can try something out of the ordinary. It just seems the usual ways to handle this stuff isnt getting me anywhere.
