Need some input and advice after this rant..lol : THIS WEATHER is yet another reason WHY my son will be starting at London Elementary School this week. It was all a great idea for him to go to CPA at first. But when folks think its ok to keep Mommy out of the loop at far as conferences, activities, and every daggone thing else, theres really no reason for me to continue driving a 90 minute round trip twice a day every other week when he can go to school right here in town. CPA is an excellent school, it is. They have helped my son get to where I never dreamed he would be right now, but there comes a time when a GOOD mother HAS to do what is best for the WHOLE FAMILY, and not just for that one child. I have to sit out on my girls activities at times to ensure that Ivan gets picked up and where he needs to be, and thats not ok with me. Ive had to turn down not one, but two job opportunities because the hours conflicted with his school schedule an again, thats not ok with me. I feel as if Im doing the right thing, but at the same time being told (by someone of no importance) that Im selfish for making the change. Im also being told that LES is a mediocre school. However, I have two girls that have attended the same school who are smarter than the non-graduate telling me Im making the wrong choice...lol. All jokes aside, I feel that transferring Ivan from Columbus to London schools, where he LIVES, will be better in the long run. I wont have to worry about finding someone to pick him up from school all the way in Columbus when I have to work because he will be riding the bus directly home with his sisters, and I wont have to worry about traveling with him on I-70 twice a day when theres snow and ice on the ground. AND ABOVE ALL...I will be able to see him on a consistent basis because I wont have to depend on some doofus to pick him up on the days I cant! So tell me FB friends...what would YOU do if you were in my position? Would you keep him in CPA, or transfer him to London?
