Need your help! Can any auto body repair guys out there tell me if a new rear lift gate for a Toyota Venza would normally come with a vin tag on it? Do replacement body panels come with them in general? Short story on why I am asking. The lift gate on our venza was supposed to be replaced from an accident where someone rear ended us. We have the car back repaired but the vin tag is on the lift gate (same spot) and it was painted over. This to me indicates the original gate was repaired and not replaced as per the shop write up. Short of scratching the paint off the tag to find out I thought I would ask first.
