Needed a day to put the Red Sox World Series win into perspective - TopicsExpress

Needed a day to put the Red Sox World Series win into perspective so here is a Full Disclosure and Fall on the Sword Alert.......... Around this time in 2012, fan interest was in the tank, the team was reeling, players were gone and (thank goodness) the manager was fired. And heres Full Disclosure - we here at Extra Innings Wrentham talked about how broken this team looked and that it could take a few years to rebuild. Their record was bad, their attitudes were horrible and their play was even worse. Most of us are diehard Red Sox fans and it wasnt lack of loyalty but logically, this looked like a disaster that would take awhile to fix. Here we are now just 12 months later, falling on our sword - were glad that we were absolutely horrible prognosticators!!!! It took tremendous courage for the teams front office to clean house. They gutted many talented players - some would say the heart of the team. But they obviously had a plan and it worked. For all of the second guessing, you have our most sincere apologies and eternal gratitude. We give the entire organization from the front office on down, all of the credit to have the plan, resources, foresight, faith, courage and spine (to absorb the heat from the fans) to pull off this amazing journey. Clearly they believed in themselves when many others had their doubts. This team played with exuberance, pride, talent, grit and most importantly Character and Teamwork. The 2013 Sox team was a total pleasure to watch - and while we couldnt be happier for the entire Sox organization, were kinda bummed that we dont get to watch any more baseball. April 17, 2014 should be a blast..........
