Neighbourhood Grapevine Masterplan: hey all! Ive posted briefly about trying to set up some good communication between those of us in the neighbourhood concerned about safety and security, and protecting those most vulnerable in our patch. My tentative idea has been to appeal to people who may have five minutes a week they can give to reaching out to neighbours either side of them, to (a) show them how to join this facebook group (if they are web-savvy enough to try) or (b) printing out little notes from time to time to let them know of important news/events/grants. Wed also hope that anything people noticed that might be suspicious can be sent back up the grapevine (group admins here - Id appreciate some help in ensuring no-ones privacy is violated) so that we, as a community, can act on anything required. I dont want anyone to post their exact address details on here obviously, but if you could get in touch with me privately if youre willing to get involved, I can start pulling together a bit of a map of our reach. Ill need help to administer this so if youve got more than 5 minutes a week PLEASE shout :).
