Neil continues to speak with clarity and credibility in a society bombarded with pseudo-science, pseudo-religion, and pseudo-public service. Science illiteracy is real but sadder still are the legion of elected and appointed officials, lobbyist and lawyers, who rationalize and justify their illiteracy (they use other names of course) in service of profit and power. Many are more greedy than illiterate, and compromised by the lack of moral courage.
