Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” School recently started; continue to encourage and praise kids. Beatrice Briseño Carreon, Shea Stubbs- Edmonds, Romaine Stubbs, Debra Smith, Bruce Casteel and I will travel this next week to Colonia La Mesa north of 1015 in Weslaco, TX to support a group of kids. Many have made donations, and we continue to accept donations. On our last trip, we gave each of the 26 kids a uniform and school supplies. This next trip we will support them with socks and shoes. We are still gathering supplies. We will gladly accept books or any learning materials. Your supplies do not have to be new. We ask for prayers to keep us motivated, and we ask that you take up the challenge to motivate kids. Church is a great support system for kids. The pictures tell the story. We meet the kids on Saturday, September 20 at 10:30 AM. Join us if you can.
