Nematodes for grub control now in stock! Nematodes are natural microscopic worms that infest and kill their prey within 24-48 hours and then continue to reproduce to continue to kill new pests. Nematodes are sensitive to sunlight and temperatures below 13•C or above 35•C. They should be applied as soon as possible after purchasing during rainy, overcast weather. More than one application may be required if soil conditions are not ideal for survival. They should be applied when insects are feeding - usually late April/early May until late June and again from mid August through September. Larvae are most vulnerable late summer/early fall making this ideal time to apply nematodes. How to Apply: - Apply during/after a rainfall or water your lawn thoroughly - Nematodes are stored on a damp sponge. Rinse them into a small amount of luke-warm water which becomes a concentrated solution of nematodes. - Use a hose-end sprayer or dilute them with more water and use a pump spray or watering can to distribute them. Keep the container agitated while applying so that nematodes dont begin to settle at the bottom. - Keep your lawn moist for 3-4 days after application. Be sure to follow label instructions and keep refrigerated until use. If you have any questions, be sure to ask our knowledgeable staff.
