Nesbitts Straight Talk - Why Do Some People Talk Bad About Successful People? Whether you succeeded in business, passed a student exam, are prettier than someone, have a cool car, won an athletic event, or found your way to Christ there are people you thought were your friends that will talk about you like a dog. I have seen a coach keep kids from participating just because they didnt like their parents. I have seen people in church bad mouth others just because they didnt like a FB picture of someone having a good time. I have seen people spread rummors just because someone could afford to do something nice. So whats the matter with these people and why are they so hateful toward people that succeed? Here is the answer - They are to lazy to get off their rear end and succeed in something themselves. Some of these people are so jelouse they actully enjoy bad mouthing you because it makes them feel better. Most of these people are living beyond their means or lying, trying to keep up with someone that is financialy secure or just plain happy with their lives. These people end up digging themselves in a hole because they dont save their money and turn their money into something that will make more money or they have lied so many times nobody believes them. So how do you deal with these people? - You say a prayer for them and for you to give you the strength to say the right words and confront them. God will not let you down. He never has for he is why you are successfull! When confronted, the person saying hatefull things will lie and say they never said that but its kind of like a school bully fight. When you stand up to them, whether you win the fight or not, most will not mess with you again but some will wait for an opportunity. So stay on your toes, enjoy what ever you succeed in, keep your family close to you, and hang out with the good Lord for he wants to hang with you!
