Nestled between the golden hills of central #MarinCounty, San Anselmo, Californias town hall with its iconic tower has become a memorable sight for tourists and locals alike since it was built in 1911. Soaring 70 feet in the air, this tower set the aesthetic and emotional tone for what would become later downtown #SanAnselmo. The rehabilitation of this historic building presented several challenges involving the manipulation of original materials, partial demolition and the seamless blending of more recent and original sections. Coupled with this structural complexity, the project also had to consider a unique #environmental avian factor — a family of nesting San Anselmo #owls. #construction
