The inevitable internationalization of the Ukrainian crisis is in progress as a Caucusus Legion appears on the Ukrainian side. Former Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan and political exile Col. Isa Sadigov announced the formation of the all-volunteer International Peace-Keeping Battalion of Hero of Ichkeriya Dzhokhar Dudayev. The Dudayev Battalion will fight in Ukraine with Ukrainian forces against the Russian terrorists. It will be commanded by Brig. General Isa Munaev, a Chechen resistance fighter and Chairman of the Free Caucusus movement that involves fighters from Chechnya, Georgia and Azerbaijan who resisted and fought Russian aggression against their homelands. Approximately 300 mainly Chechen fighters have volunteered in Ukraine and others from other countries are volunteering. It is not well known that a significant number of Chechen freedom fighters left Chechnya some years ago because they refused to participate in Putins civil war and hybrid war tactics in Chechnya in which the Kadyrov mercenary traitors are used to kill Chechen freedom fighters and repress the population for the Russians. Many went to Ukraine where, they now have the opportunity to fight Russians again. There are already Russian citizens, Georgians and members of other nationalities fighting with Ukraines volunteer battalions in an eerie similarity to what happened with the struggle of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army against Stalin in WW II. If Putin keeps escalating his aggression in this conflict, I will not be startled by news that other international volunteers join the Ukrainians.
