Net Nuetrality the Two Speed Internet: Fast (for Big Corp) and Slow (for You and Me). Email the CPUC to weigh in on behalf of the public! We must stop the California Public Utilities Commission from taking a wrong turn on net nuetrality. Join us today to tell the CPUC to stand up for the public and for a free and open Internet by urging the FCC to classify it as a Title II service, under the purview of federal communications regulations. A crucial vote will take place this coming Thursday Oct. 16 in San Francisco. If you can attend in person, youll have a chance to speak during public comment, as long as you sign up before 9:30 am at the auditorium at 505 Van Ness Ave., SF. If you cant attend, please send a letter to the CPUC NOW! Tell the California Public Utilities Commission to weigh in on behalf of the public! FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler has proposed a set of “Pay to Play” rules that would allow phone and cable Internet companies like Comcast, AT&T or Verizon Communications to create a two-tiered Internet; fast lanes for those who can pay for them and dirt roads for those who cannot. Title II reclassification is essential to ensure that all Internet content providers, innovators and consumers are treated equally, without the unreasonable discrimination Pay to Play would allow. California must demand rules that will stop phone and cable Internet service providers from discriminating against fledgling online companies, independent media outlets, non profit organizations (and anyone else with a website) and customers themselves. Everyone should have equal access to communications services! Tell the California Public Utilities Commission to weigh in on behalf of the public! Dont let the CPUC mislead the FCC: tell them Californians want to keep the Internet free. org.salsalabs/o/746/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=16112
