Neue Berliner Räume warmly invites you to the opening reception of „Bilder, die wir behalten / Elisabeth“ on Saturday, 23.08.2014. The exhibition presents new works by Jodie Carey, Dana Linkiewicz, Antje Majewski, Sonya Schönberger, Melissa Steckbauer, and Sinta Werner. What do we do with memory and its objects? Do we hold on to them, or do they hold on to us? Remnants of memory – be it a material object, a feeling or an empty space –challenge us to find a way to deal with them. To show, to hide, to safeguard, to tell – differently, or anew? It links four exhibitions within one format and interrelates the work of independent curators and fellow project spaces. It’s been a great pleasure working with our colleagues from the independent art scene over the past year and we are looking forward to finally see the project unfold over the next two months.
