Neurology team just came by. Jordyns EEG looks normal, no seizure activity was recorded. Her MRI was stopped halfway through because she woke up and they didnt want to have to sedate her so she has to go back for the contrast portion later on. So far the MRI looks good too, no areas of swelling or pooling. Her bloodwork came back with an elevated potassium level and a slightly elevated lactate level. Not sure what exactly that means at this point in time though. So weve ruled out seizures and brain swelling. They are thinking she is just falling asleep REALLY fast causing her sudden onset of being limp and unresponsive. They also think that her meningitis has caused her to forget how to eat and suck. We see an OT tomorrow to start therapy to teach her how to suck and eat properly again. She will still be getting a feeding tube for now so she can get her calorie intake in and not lose more weight. Thats the good news for the day, glad we ruled out something major and can now work on something more minor while we wait for More results to come in.
