Nevada Update... Hey all. I was out for about 3 hours and it seems like there were huge developments while I was gone. I am currently dealing with one of my little princesses who isnt happy so it could be hours before I get an updated article out on the site. Here is what I know, however... and please correct me on any points where I may be wrong because I tried to absorb this in about 20 minutes. I think the Harry Reid story which broke yesterday (I personally wrote about it this morning) was enough to shut down the feds for fear of bad PR. It appears that the feds have called off the dogs. Evidently about 4 hours ago there was an announcement that the Bureau of Land Management would cease the operation. The word I get it that originally they were not going to return the cows that they had already confiscated but after Cliven Bundy gave them an ultimatum and said they needed to be returned within 1 hour, they agree to return them. From what I have heard there were at least 1000 militia on site. The feds were definitely outgunned. After the announcement was made the tension has remained high because the BLM backed off but the SWAT teams rolled in. I lost the live feed I was listening to but I think that very few have left. I think the situation has been partially diffused but it is still volatile. Just because the BLM is backing down it doesnt mean that the situation is over. It will be over when the cattle are returned and everyone returns safely to their homes. Sorry guys, but thats all Ive got. I had family stuff this afternoon and missed a lot. Please add any updates or any good sources in the comments. For now it would appear that Cliven Bundy and the American people may have won this battle but there are sure to be more. You might want to start paying attention if you werent already. They call people like me conspiracy theorists but those of us who pay attention are simply concerned for our country and we know that revolution is in the air.
