Never assume a hard time is an ending in your life that will never end. All hard times pass and all good times pass. They pass back and forth between each other. The phrase this too shall pass is only one we apply when we are down but if we can see that the good times also pass then we have a more clear perception of reality in that to feel balanced in life we have to accept where we are and simply do our best to live effectively. If we are in great times we do not need to boast and get full of ourselves and when we are in the down times we do not need to stay stuck and catastrophize that the light will never come at the end of the tunnel. To live effectively means we live with excitement backed by humility and sadness backed by resilience. This is how we love ourselves. We have to love ourselves with balance and with an understanding that life is ebb and flow and in either situation we need to live with the bigger picture in mind. When we live this way we feel empowered. We get in touch with the best parts of ourselves and we can feel our inner elegance shining through. So wherever you are in your life... in an ebb, a flow or in the middle, accept where you are, get the most out of it because it will pass and you will be in a new place experiencing new things. No matter where you are focusing on living effectively.
