Never just a thing from the past By Mark Nielson The sky is dark today because of rain And it makes it much easier to write Not just of pain but more of an insight As I write, my thoughts escape the hatch And sometimes its kind of complicated to grasp So I write in layers, just pull them back Getting older has taught me just that The ones who dont know me Would never know the past But through this rain I can write like mad Unrested at times is my mind Leaving the unforgiving to remind me As I see the current is rising Maybe perhaps because my mind is flooded From the past of drama and madness When I write nothing really plays out though Only me trying not to sink in quick sand For a person to feel complete One must understand where they came from And once knowing, then when seeking the future it will never just be a thing from the past Copyright © 2014 Mark Nielson✒ #Mizarkbxpoescriber
