Never look back I just wanted to share my journey with you - TopicsExpress

Never look back I just wanted to share my journey with you guys, since Ill be heading off to PICC this February. Im graduating as a regular student btw and I hope that this post will inspire you guys to keep on doing your passion, keep pursuing your dreams and focus on your goal. Starting off as a Freshmen I really think highly of myself due to the training that Ive experience during high school, and my personal mentality going into college. Basically I chose the course that I love and Ive been living the dream (or building it, or whatever). Im not the brightest student at my high school, and I flunk my Maths and shit but something sparked a light inside me when I entered Mapua. It doesnt hurt that I had my first girlfriend which was an inspiration to me during those times. She broke up with me because of circumstances that are out of our hands, and the girls usual excuses like (its not you its me kind of bullshit). After she broke up I was definitely down. But that doesnt stop me from doing a great job at school. I got over her by joining a pageant and other outlets like hanging out with my bros for basketball and alone time. Everything changed during the summer of my 2nd year when I started playing Dota2. Basically Dota2 changed my life, but I would write this down in another article I guess. It made me become a better person, as Ive improved my decision making skills, time management and Ive become a better leader as well. I was adaptive, and decisive. And oh during this time I got a second girlfriend who I still have right now, shes for keeps ;) Mapua has definitely caused a great rift between me and my family, as they do not understand what it means to study from this institution (even though I have 2 brothers and an Aunt who studied in MIT). I basically argue with them whenever Im so caught up with deadlines I ended up crying because they dont understand what Im going through. Mapua also made me a stranger to my friends outside of the institute, as my busy schedule made me left out of some of my friends great hangouts and made memories. Now, as I leave the institute with 0 units left with an additional bragging right of me being a regular student (no fail, no delay, no shit schedule) I leave this message to the rest of you, who are struggling with personal problems and trials as you study. Success is a journey, not a destination. Its how you react and adapt to every situation youre in, in order to flourish in your chosen field. Never let anyone shape your own destiny, and focus on your goal. Never take your eyes off the prize. My journey may have been different from the rest of you guys but once youve set your goal, never looked back. Have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy 2015! ImmortalDota2Player - Other 2011
