Neville Hargeaves Sadly Neville passed away on Thursday 30 - TopicsExpress

Neville Hargeaves Sadly Neville passed away on Thursday 30 October shortly before his 80th birthday. Neville was quite a character, a former soldier and proud of his Yorkshire roots. He joined the club in 2009 as a thrower. Over the past year he had taken Patience Anga under his wing coaching her whenever he could alongside Clive. Neville liked to take on the Council, taking up various issues with them particularly regarding athletic and sporting issues. He battled with them to provide a clubhouse for us without much success. It was only about a month ago that he secured a small grant for Patience from the Council. Neville had been unwell for some time and had been receiving treatment for leukemia. The funeral will be at Bobbing Crematorium (just off the A249 by the A2 Key Street) on Monday 17 November at 11.00 a.m. Ayla will be pleased for friends to join the family at the service, especially those from the club who knew Neville. Flowers will be from the family only, but donations would be gratefully accepted with cheques made out as follows to either (or both) of these good causes: Lawrence Ward Equipment Fund Medway & Maidstone Athletics Club and sent to: John Weir Funeral Director, 31 Parkwood Green, Gillingham, Rainham, Kent ME8 8PW
