After identifying an intuitive spatial interest, Nicole adopts a specific geometrical concept and begins studying. Drawing after drawing, she follows a single observation through a series of rigorous drawings in an act of faith. While no one knows where the drawing will lead, numerous students discover their projects in the haze between their linework. Nicoles thesis, Dwelling In-Betweeness speaks directly to the opportunities that can be found when you think by drawing. Nicole Wiznitzer graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a BArch and is currently working in Chicago, IL. The work shown here was nominated for the 2014 Thesis Prize and she was awarded the AIA Henry Adams award upon graduation. She is currently interested in the architectural relationship between geometry, phenomenology, and form.
