New Beginnings...Summer Kick-off Party for College Sunday School Class Saturday, May 31st, at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Mark Brock. All college students are invited! Attention Preschool and Children’s Parents Beginning Sunday, June 1st there will be only one entrance for our nursery & preschool department (babies-kindergarten) and one entrance for our children’s department (grades 1-5). The entrance for the nursery & preschool department will be the double doors just outside the nursery. The entrance for the children’s department will be on the 2nd floor just past the office. These changes are being made in an effort to increase the safety & security of our kids. Beginning Sunday, August 10th, parents of babies – kindergarten will be asked to sign-in and sign-out their children. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make this transition. Summer Bible Study for Families: The Family’s Heart: Ten Actions That Will Make Your Family & Church Stronger by John Burnett This study will begin Wednesday, June 4th and conclude Wednesday, Aug. 6th. We will meet each Wednesday night (except June 11th) @ 6:30 p.m. in the North Wing. Since we are taking a summer sabbatical from Mission Friends, RA’s & GA’s we encourage you to bring your entire family for this informative and encouraging family study time. (Taught by Dr. Matt Chance) College Recognition Sunday, June 8, in the morning service. Please contact the office if you would like to participate. Vacation Bible School Donations needed: Powdered Kool Aid, individual wrapped Rice Krispie Treats, Granola Bars, Goldfish, Tortilla Chips, Chips Ahoy, Oreos, empty baby food jars. Collection tubs are located in the North Wing or bring it by the church office. We still have a need for volunteers! See Jill to sign up to help! VBS is June 9-13, 9:00 a.m.- noon. Church Picnic June 22 from 4pm to 8pm on the church grounds. BBQ Cook-off is the theme this year for competition between SS classes and a dessert cook off for ladies! Fun time of games, music and other activities. Sunday School classes are encouraged to use the picnic as an opportunity to invite friends!
