New BookStore On Livernois - Pages There is a new bookstore on Livernois called Pages. New books are sold primarily fiction, and gifts for all ages. The bookstore owner Susan hopes to facilitate neighbors engaging in conversation around books and other topics of interests. The book collection will be added to as the owner moves forward with community input. Two events coming up. Thursday, September 18, 7p, Pages will be screening the documentary The Great Detroit by Anthony Detroit featuring the positive side of Detroit. Popcorn is included! Johnson, author of the Detroit historical mystery series including Detroit Electric Scheme, Motor City Shakedown, Detroit Breakdown, and Detroit Shuffle. His books are set in Detroit in the early 20th century and the historical details are amazing! His latest book, Detroit Breakdown, was the WDET book pick for their first book club. Nancies Fancies Catering will be offering a tea tasting and treats. Pages on Livernois is open at 19410 Livernois (Community Storefront) on Wednesday from noon – 6p and on Thursday through Saturday from 11a to 6p. The owner hopes to stay at this location until the permanent building is completed at 19344 Livernois.
