New Business opening soon! A Fairmont businessman is opening a new hotel in the Friendly City. The hotel is owned by Gary Wilfong and his company, Wilfong Hospitality II, LLC. This will be Wilfong’s second hotel, as he also owns the Microtel Inn and Suites in Morgantown. The three-story hotel was built by Norco Construction from Summersville and will be managed and operated by Sky Hospitality Management Group from St. Petersburg, Fla. The 62-room hotel will offer a conference room, fitness facility, Dream Well bedding, extended hot breakfast, free WiFi, and group pricing. All rooms will have flat screen televisions, refrigerators, hair dryers, ironing boards and coffeemakers, andADA rooms are available upon request. Fairmont Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham will be located at the Middletown Mall in off Exit 132 of I-79. Microtel is part of the Wyndham Worldwide Hotel Group. Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham offers a very nice limited service hotel experience that goes above and beyond limited to offer a clean and comfortable place to stay at extremely reasonable pricing. Wilfong is very happy to bring this Microtel hotel project to the Fairmont/White Hall area. He would also like to thank Norco Construction and Sky Hospitality for their help putting this project together. Wilfong is dedicating this project to the memory of his mother, Jean Wilfong, who passed away from cancer in July of 1996. This hotel is scheduled to open in late March of 2014.
