New Comedy Theater steps from Wrigley Field Chicago…Under The Gun Theater is proud to announce the official Grand Opening of their new 90-seat black box Theater space located in the historic Links Hall Building. Nestled in the heart of Wrigleyville just steps away from the field is a new home for Comedy. Kevin Mullaney (Original Artistic Director of UCB Theater in NYC, and current Artistic Director of Chicago Improv Festival) and Angie McMahon (Founding Director of Chemically Imbalanced Comedy and current faculty member of The Second City) have teamed up for this new venture. After getting our performing arts venue and liquor license in November 2014 we have decided to have a Grand Opening Party, said Artistic Director Kevin Mullaney. The Under The Gun Ensemble will be performing various scenes and songs written specifically for the Grand Opening. We are very proud of our new ensemble. They are some of the best improvisors in Chicago--18 women and 18 men who make up one of the largest and most diverse improv ensembles anywhere. We are excited to share their talents with Chicago. said Mullaney. The night will be hosted by our very own, Stand Up Comedian, Josh Johnson (therealjoshjohnson/) and will culminate in a shortened version of our popular show “Comedy Against Humanity, a live show for horrible people”, an interactive show based on the game “Cards Against Humanity ™”.
