San Jose won a dramatic 3-2 match over rivals LA Galaxy on 29 June and then lost by the same score at Chicago, allowing a late winner. With such differing levels of emotion, it will be difficult to maintain a positive mentality, particularly when the other team has had adequate time to prepare. New England were upbeat about salvaging a point from their last outing, a 1-1 draw at US Chivas, and will come out more prepared for this match. New England should win the match.
