*New Fall 2013 IP Externship opportunity!!* Salt Lake City – based company looking for student with biotech background to work remotely on freedom-to-operate study related to PCR-products. The student may be asked to work on some office actions for patent applications. Must be familiar with basics of PCR and nucleic acid terminology. Familiarity with recent Myriad decision and familiarity with general patent claim drafting would be helpful. The student must be self-motivated and able to work in a long-distance arrangement. Student(s) selected for this brand new opportunity will be working under the existing IP Externship Program: the 3-4 credit unpaid externship will be administered through the CIPR, and externs will need to sign up for the IP Externship course (B551). Student(s) will be able to complete their work in Bloomington, but will be expected to have frequent conferences by phone/video with their supervisor.
