New Hampshire Music Festival Teams with Flying Monkey for Free ‘Moonrise Kindgom’ Showing PLYMOUTH –The New Hampshire Music Festival is teaming up with the Flying Monkey Movie House and Performance Center on Monday, July 22 for a free screening of New England-based film “Moonrise Kingdom.” Much of the soundtrack to the film is based on the music of British composer Benjamin Britten, who would be 100 if he was still alive today. Under the baton of Music Director Donato Cabrera, the Festival Orchestra celebrated a selection from Britten’s repertoire during a performance on July 18. Directed by Wes Anderson and released in 2012, “Moonrise Kingdom” is a smart and quirky comedy set on an island off of the coast of New England in the summer of 1965. It tells the story of two twelve-year olds who fall in love, make a pact and run away together. While authorities try to locate them in the wilderness, a violent storm threatens the island community. Notable actors include Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, Edward Norton and Frances McDormand. The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Flying Money Movie House and Performance Center, 39 S. Main Street, Plymouth and is free and open to the public. The movie is rated PG-13 and runs one hour and 34 minutes.
