New Job Control/Automation Software Engineer - 5184NH Industry: Engineering Job Type: Permanent Location: Chesterfield, England Our client, designers and manufacturers of equipment for ships and offshore installations are looking to recruit an experienced Control/Automation Software Engineer for a new division of the business supplying ballast water treatment systems which require automated control and integration into existing vessel automation systems. They are particularly interested in Engineers whose qualifications and experience are in control, electrical and electronic engineering with programming experience in Mitsubishi, Siemens, Rockwell, Allen Bradley and most Industry Standard Protocols. A specialist in Mitsubishi protocol is required, the ability to be able to integrate between Mitsubishi protocols and standard industry protocols i.e. to send and receive data is essential. KEY FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: *The role will require involvement from quotation to commissioning; this will necessitate travel to vessels including overseas visits. Requirements: *Excellent knowledge and experience of instrumentation systems and equipment, in particular ship automation systems - both Legacy and current technologies PLC ladder logic understanding Control circuit drawings and instrument loop diagrams understanding The ideal candidate will be fully conversant in using the following software tools:- *Mitsubishi GX Developer 7.01 - Processor code *Mitsubishi GX Configurator DP - Profibus master configuration *Mitsubishi QUTP Intelligent Function - Analogue module configuration *Mitsubishi E-Designer V7.50 - For programming display And the following Hardware:- *QX80 Digital input modules *Q68ADI A-D Current Convertors *Q68ADV A-D Voltage Convertors *QY10 Digital Output Modules *QJ71PB93D Profibus modules *Q68DAIN D-A Current Modules *Q68DAVN D-A Voltage Modules *Q02/Q04 Processors Unfortunately due to the number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback to all applicants.
