The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the UK and there will be extensive worldwide travelling (approx 150 days per year). The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Electro-Hydraulic operated cranes, their associated control systems and components Key Responsibilities: Carry out the commissioning, maintenance, inspection and servicing of client cranes and lifting equipment, onshore and offshore. Carry out repairs and inspection on a range of electrical equipment and systems. Carry out the commissioning, maintenance, inspection and servicing of a range of client mechanical equipment, onshore and offshore. Assist with spares identification and procurement. Essential: A minimum of 5 years working within the crane industry. Apprenticed served in either Electrical engineering. In-depth knowledge of AC/DC drives. Knowledge of PLC systems. Experience of commissioning and fault finding on electro-mechanical and/or hydro-mechanical systems. Be willing to travel aboard and work on a non-rotary pattern. Be willing to work on your own or within a team. IT literate and be able to write reports. UK driving licence. Have the ability to read schematics and engineering drawings then translate this into practice. Have the ability to problem solve and think out of the box. Be able to work at heights. Desirable: An in depth knowledge of preventative maintenance. Crane industry or Liebherr/MacGregor/Hagglund/IHI/MHI/Tsuji/LMG trained Experience with SLI equipment BOSIET Leadership experience Experience working with marine engineering applications.
