Long-term this role provides the platform and opportunity to develop to a senior level within the organisation, either in Data & Technology, Marketing or the wider business, not just in the UK, but across its global footprint. The Data & Technology team: -Covers data strategy -Marketing automation -Audience building -Data protection -Database development -List segmentation -Reporting and analysis -Data governance and data integrity -Work with stakeholders around the business. The successful candidate will have responsibility for driving and optimising the data activities of 2 strategic business units. Roles and Responsibilities - Understand and communicate the full data landscape for your internal customers, as it evolves - Perform audience analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for marketing initiatives - Brief data agencies on data build projects, re-verification and qualification campaigns - Assess the data integrity of existing data and planning activities to improve data quality - Support and coach the brand marketing team with list selection, reporting and analysis from the marketing database - Understand, apply and enforce adequate data protection standards meeting corporate rules and EU legislation in all marketing activities - Drive the data aspects of lead conversion through Eloqua and Salesforce, increasing MQL to SQL conversion and ultimately to won business. - Work closely with the Demand Centre to execute and optimise personalised campaigns - Understand the application of analytics technology for the business unit, specifically Sitecatalyst and Scout to optimise their use for marketing. - Work with the development team on data-related developments, supporting the Brand Marketing teams requirements and those of the Data & Technology Team. - Proactively work with the brand teams and the Head of Data Optimisation to define, evolve and optimise the business units data strategy. - Brief operational tasks to the outsource team, monitor quality and providing feedback where necessary Core Skills - Analytical and problem solving - listening, probing and interpreting needs - Clear, confident, articulate and structured communicator - Demonstrable leadership ability - Adept at working with different technologies Behaviours - Focused and resilient - Highly organised - Adaptable - Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, matrix organisation - Highly effective and personable communication style - ability to recognise and adjust to different audiences and circumstances accordingly - Can multi-task and quickly change course as required by company or market forces - Collaborative and inclusive approach to work - Professional and credible - Calm and collected - particularly under pressure - Curious and questioning - Passionate and engaged Desirable, but not essential knowledge/technical skills - Data Protection legislation - Marketing Automation technologies (Eloqua, Marketo etc.) and processes - CRM Technologies (Salesforce, Siebel etc.) - Email Service Provider (ExactTarget, SilverPOP etc.) - SQL or other data-query language - Business Intelligence technologies (SAP.
