New Job Data Recovery Analyst - Birmingham - 97885857 Industry: IT Job Type: Contract Location: Birmingham, England Responsibilities Organizational Functions: Ensure compliance with the standards and requirements set forth by the client and based on the guidelines authorized by the Center of Excellence team. Participate in CLIENT organizational events such as meetings, campus events, and team meetings Coordination: Creating data recovery requests and coordinating with data recovery analysts to ensure the recovery tasks are performed correctly. Quality Assurance: Cross-checking discovery/coordination/recovery tasks to ensure they have been performed properly and complete. Core Functions/Tasks: Perform searches in teams various data platforms Update search status/outcome in workflow tool and Recovery Map Provide regular updates with Search Coordinator about status of recovery tasks / case Responsible and accountable for close out of assigned cases Escalate issues with data platforms (slow, erred, paused searches) to the operations team Assist in continual process improvement by assisting in documentation, process feeclientack, and process lifecycle management Troubleshoot and report errors within the Emars Workflow System via GIMS Search the Server Discovery database to determine the account information accessible by a user in order to submit data recovery searches to the corresponding regional/global IT teams. Manage multiple requests and process in a timely manner in order to meet requested delivery dates. Assist with updating process documentation and SharePoint Team room database to communicate changes in Emars process. Individual Performance Measurement Criteria - Quality and completeness of data retrieval - Quality and effectiveness in communications and engagement with stakeholders. - Personal priority and time management - Low QA rejection rate (under 10% once fully trained) Skill Requirements Technical Skills Proficiency Legend: P1 - Introductory P2 - Basic P3 - Experienced P4 - Advanced P5 - Expert P2- Proficiency Rated Skills Understanding of the client/server relationship in messaging technology infrastructure Experience of working in a Service Desk environment Knowledge of server and database concepts & architectures Experience with utilizing workflow and management tools Ability to apply technical principles when performing retrieval tasks Good Technical fluency P1 - Proficiency Rated Skills Data Discovery Analyst (forensics, e-Discovery, data recovery analyst) Knowledge of enterprise storage concepts & architectures Experience in the financial services industry or equivalent large scale, high volume environment Knowledge of the ITIL framework P1 - Desired Technical Skills Autonomy Digital Safe, Microsoft Enterprise Vault, Axs-One, Actiances Vantage, Tivoli Storage.
