New Job Development Manager - DW/Dev Industry: Financial Services Job Type: Permanent Location: Sittingbourne, England Salary: £35000 - £40000 per annum + Benefits Im looking to recruit an experienced Development Manager / Senior Developer (.Net). My client is looking for a motivated and flexible individual to manage software development. Operating within the Development team you will be responsible for the design, development, testing and support of current and future applications. You will be required to work closely with existing 3rd party suppliers to ensure that existing development platforms and applications are maintained. You must be able to demonstrate experience of using agile methods to work to tight timescales, as well as having extensive experience working within an enterprise IT environment developing Web Applications using Microsoft .NET Technologies (vb.net, C#) and have good knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, jQuery. You must work collaboratively with customers, and suppliers, to provide technical support and assistance to applications, taking responsibility for problems through to resolution. Attention to detail, quality and experience of successfully delivering projects to tight timescales are essential for this role, as well as being able to appreciate the importance of peer review; testing, code annotation and documentation as being key to ensuring solutions are robust, maintainable and supportable. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills with experience in dealing with customers and colleagues at all levels of the organisation in accordance with development procedures. Practical experience of working with a test team to identify, investigate and resolve defects to ensure software quality is required. Ability to coach and support other team members to improve their technical knowledge and use of technology is required.
